On September 20, 2023, George Murar, Esq. obtained the license of FIFA Agent, in order to extend the competence of Murar and Associates Law Firm in the field of Sports Law, as well as to further refine the FIFA legislation.

In present, the FIFA licensed agency activity is realized by Mr. Lwy. George Murar through the Murar Sports Agency SRL agency, within which he owns the role of administrator.

In 2023 the FIFA radically changed the statutory regulations, establishing that the activity of the Football Agent can be carried out worldwide only on the basis of a license granted by the FIFA, after passing a very rigorous examination, with a vast theme and bibliography, of approximately 700 pages, comprising almost all the FIFA Codes and Regulations.

Thus, effective as of October 1, 2023, the representation of an athlete, coach or football club in order to negotiate and mediate a transfer from one club to another will be legally possible only by a person holding this license from FIFA.

The main goal of these changes is to increase and establish a minimum level of professionalism and ethics for the persons working as a Football Agent.

Murar and Associates Law Firm, through the Department of Sports Law, considered that the very entry into force of these changes in the FIFA regulations is a good moment to contribute with a fresh impetus to the activity of the Football Agent, George Murar, Esq. adding competence and expertise, as a Law professional with over 15 years of experience in Business Law, but also in Sports Law – a branch of Law in which there are few specialists in Romania.

The services that can be fulfilled as a FIFA licensed agent are (including but not limited to):
